cooperation with Elite University in China

26.07.2019

For two years there has been close cooperation between the Chair of Computing in Engineering and the School of Management Science and Real Estate of the Chinese elite university Chongqing University (CQU). The cooperation includes both teaching and research on topics such as digital construction and logistic processes on the construction site.

In the context of this year's Summer School, the Chair of Computing in Engineering under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Markus König welcomed a total of 17 Bachelor and Master students as well as three CQU professors at the RUB. During the three-day program, the guests listened to lectures and exercises on Building Information Modeling and simulations of construction and logistics processes. Exciting guided tours in the VR laboratory and in the boundary layer wind tunnel completed the program at the faculty. At the end of the Summer School, the Chair of Computing in Engineering organized a tour of the construction site in Stuttgart S21, where the key element is the conversion of the Stuttgart Central Station terminus into an underground through station.
