Five researchers from the RUB were identified as the most frequently cited researchers worldwide — including, for the third time in a row, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martina Flörke, head of the Chair of Engineering Hydrology and Water Resources Management.

This is evident from the current list of “Highly Cited Researchers 2025,” which is compiled each year by the American company Clarivate Analytics. The analysis and determination is based on the Web of Science database and takes into account all articles published within the last eleven years. Based on these results, the publications of the researchers listed there are considered particularly important for their respective fields.
