Exam Registration

  • As soon as we can provide binding information on the examination registration period in the winter semester 2021/22, you will be informed here.
  • In the summer semester 2021, the automatic registration of examinations in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering will no longer be carried out by the Examination Office. All examinations must be registered independently within the registration period.
  • Registration for examinations in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering is possible from 15.05. to 15.07.2021 via FlexNow. For examinations with PVL, an extended registration period applies until 14 days before the examination date. In justified exceptional cases, registration within this period can also be carried out by the Examination Office. For this purpose, please send an e-mail with details of the exam(s) to pruefungsamt-bi@rub.de.

Exam Viewings

The following general rules apply to exam viewings while the RUB is operating under Covid 19 conditions:

  • Examination viewings are only possible if an appointment has been made in advance. To register for the exam viewing, a group is usually set up in the corresponding Moodle course in which students can register who wish to attend the exam viewing. If there are large numbers of registrations, those students who have not passed the exam will be given priority when appointments are made. The chair can also set a later date for the viewing of passed exams because grades can be changed later, if necessary. The relevant announcements of the chairs are to be observed via Moodle.
  • The duration of the exam viewing is limited to 15 minutes. Questions must be submitted in writing and will be answered by e-mail after the examination. The chairs may make other arrangements.

Final Thesis Registrations

  • Thesis registrations can be requested during the reduced operation by emailing pruefungsamt-bi@rub.de all details, including the name of the supervising faculty member. The possibility of issuing the topic, which can also be done by e-mail if necessary, must be clarified with the supervising chair. Please use only your RUB e-mail address for communication with the Examination Office.

Ongoing Final Theses

  • Ongoing theses that must be turned in during the reduced operation must be sent via e-mail as a pdf-document to pruefungsamt-bi@rub.de and the supervising chair. Printed copies are not required to be submitted until further notice and do not need to be submitted subsequently.
  • For the presentation of theses in a technical lecture, the submission of the slide presentation via e-mail to the supervising chair is sufficient during the reduced operation instead of a presence lecture, if there is no possibility for a video-based execution of the lecture.
  • Thesis extensions can be requested informally by emailing pruefungsamt-bi@rub.de and the supervising chair. Please use only your RUB e-mail address for communication with the Examination Office.
