Corona Update from 22 January 2021:

Against the background of the again tightened lockdown measures due to the Covid 19 pandemic, we would like to inform you that, for the upcoming examination period, we will continue to strive to offer as many examinations with attendance as possible with appropriate hygiene measures on the scheduled date - this is to serve your own study progress. Of course, you can decide on your participation on a voluntary basis, because cancellations of exams are possible without disadvantages. In individual cases - especially for examinations with a low number of participants in the Master's programs - alternative forms of examinations may also be considered. However, due to the dynamics of the infectious disease situation and the resulting requirements of the state government, a final decision as to whether and how the examinations will be held, cannot be made until the beginning of February. We will inform you accordingly two weeks before the start of the examination period and ask for your patience until then.

The courses offered by the faculty in the winter semester 2020/21 are tabulated in the following documents, sorted by event number:

To the courses offered by the Faculty B+U in WiSe 2020/21 (as of November 16, 2020)

To the courses offered by the Faculty MB in WiSe 2020/21 (as of October 20, 2020)
The course offers are updated continuously.

In the winter semester 2020/21, cancellations of examinations in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Civil Engineering and UTRM are possible up to one day before the examination date in FlexNow or by e-mail to the examination office (pruefungsamt-bi@rub.de). Due to the Corona pandemic, the examination board decided in its last meeting to provide an additional deregistration option for each examination in the winter semester 2020/21. This also applies to students of the first semester in the Bachelor's programs Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering and Resources Management.

Free attempt: According to the decision of the RUB Rectorate, examination attempts that are taken in the winter semester 2020/21 and failed will be cancelled. This also applies to exams for which a free attempt has already been granted. If you have already deregistered from an examination, you can re-register by e-mail via the examination office (pruefungsamt-bi@rub.de).

Medical certificates for examinations during reduced operation are to be sent digitally (as a scan or photo of the fully completed certificate form) to pruefungsamt-bi@rub.de.

The following general rules apply to exam inspections during the reduced operation mode of the RUB:
- Examination inspections are only possible after prior appointment. For the registration for an examination inspection, a group is usually set up in the corresponding Moodle course in which students can register who want to attend the examination review. In case of a high number of registrations, those students will be given priority in the allocation of appointments who have failed the exam.
The responsible chair can also set a later date for the inspection of passed exams, because the grades can be changed later, if necessary. The relevant announcements of the chairs are to be observed in Moodle.
- The duration of the examination inspection is limited to 15 minutes. Questions must be submitted in writing and will be answered by e-mail after the examination. The individual chairs may make other arrangements.

During the reduced operation mode, registrations of theses can be requested by e-mail with indication of the supervising chair to pruefungsamt-bi@rub.de. The relevant topic may be received by e-mail upon agreement with the supervising chair. Please use your RUB e-mail address for communication with the examination office.

Ongoing theses that have to be submitted during the reduced operation mode are to be sent as a pdf document via e-mail to pruefungsamt-bi@rub.de and to the supervising chair. The print version can be submitted after the reduced operation mode is terminated. If there is no possibility for a video-based execution of the required thesis presentation, submission of a slide presentation via e-mail to the supervising chair is sufficient. Thesis extensions may be requested informally by email to pruefungsamt-bi@rub.de and the supervising chair. Please use your RUB e-mail address for communication with the examination office.
