At home with... Leonard Berner

05.06.2020

U35, loud concrete slabs, pasta counter in the canteen - who doesn't know them? But this semester everything is different. For several weeks now, students have been studying digitally. What Leonard Berner, President of the UTRM student council, is looking forward to when he can return to the campus, he explains in the third part of the interview series "At home with...".

How would you describe your home office in three words?
"Music, flexible times, (almost) always enough food"

What do you miss most about the RUB?
"The community and not necessarily the lecture halls"

What's the first thing you do when you get back to the university campus?
"Drink a beer on the dining hall terrace and enjoy the sun, then maybe down to the botanical garden."

What is your current favorite online tool and why?
"WeTransfer, because it makes data transfer so easy and of course Spotify, without music nothing works!"

How do you keep yourself in shape at the home office?
"Running and from time to time a homeworkout (if the motivation allows it)"

What is the biggest challenge for you in everyday Corona life?
"Don't get upset about false reports and always remember to have your mouth guard with you, ALWAYS use a shopping cart and plan my daily routine. Especially the shopping cart thing is easy to forget"

What did you maybe learn for yourself personally in the Corona time?
"How important solidarity and consideration are and how everyone should help others as much as they can."

Thanks for the great interview!
