TANDEM.MINT: Language learning programme for engineering students

22.02.2023

Tandem.MINT 2023

The language tandem programme offers ING students at RUB an individual and subject-related form of language learning. In an exchange with a MINT tandem partner who speaks the target language as a native speaker or at a high level, language skills can be expanded in a subject-related context and specialist vocabulary can be acquired. Interested students can register until 9 April 2023.

Participation in Tandem-MINT can be helpful in preparing for a study-related stay abroad. In addition, students can train to work together in a multilingual, multicultural team - in this way, key competences for the globalised world of work can already be acquired during their studies.

The prerequisite for participation is knowledge of the target language at at least level B1 (GeR), in the case of typologically distant languages level A2, as well as knowledge of the source language at a native-speaker or similarly high level (at least C1).

After successful completion, students receive a certificate confirming their participation and the contents of the tandem. In addition, it is possible to have the participation credited with 3CP via the ZFA.
