Girls Day 2023

On 27 April 2023, we welcomed interested female pupils to this year's Girls' Day at the Chair of Building Materials as part of the workshop "Concrete is colourful!".

As part of the workshop offered by the Chair of Building Materials, the participants gained insights into the diverse properties and possible applications of concrete as a building material. The focus was particularly on practice, so the participants produced concrete themselves and tested the properties of fresh concrete. In addition, the schoolgirls learned more about studying and working as civil engineers. Finally, the concrete could be coloured with pigments and poured into different moulds. These in turn could be taken home as a souvenir of this year's Girls' Day.
