03.07.2023

SubSurf-Exkursion: Baustellen in Bonn und Monheim

On 1 June 2023, students of the Master's program in Subsurface Engineering, organized by the Chair of Soil Mechanics, Foundation Engineering and Environmental Geotechnics, visited construction sites in Bonn and Monheim.

In Bonn, the Carré Nassestraße is being newly built by the Studierendenwerk (student support organization). The building complex will house central facilities such as a mensa and administration and service offices. In Monheim, the Kulturraffinerie K714 is being built as a multifunctional town hall that combines modern and historical architecture. At both locations, the students were able to get a vivid impression of construction methods that had recently been covered in lectures.
