On May 21, 2025, the Construct-X project was presented to the public for the first time at the Construction Industry Day in front of an illustrious audience from politics and business. The cross-industry project, funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy with almost 28 million euros, is developing open, cloud-based data rooms and standards for the secure and rapid exchange of construction and plant data.
The Construct-X team of almost 40 partners is made up of well-known companies from the construction industry, the skilled trades, IT technology and research and university institutions, including the Chair of Computer Science in Construction. Major construction industry and trade associations are also involved.
The aim of Construct-X is to increase productivity, efficiency and transparency in the construction industry and in construction projects. Aspects of sustainability and resource conservation are also to be effectively implemented. The consistent use of data is a key factor in this, which has so far only been partially implemented in the diverse and heterogeneously organized construction industry.
