Whitsun excursion 2023

Register now for the last places on the Whitsun excursion from Monday, 29 May 2023 to Thursday, 1 June 2023. In addition to visiting current construction projects in the fields of bridge construction, structural engineering and road construction, the programme includes a conference for young engineers from science and practice as well as participation in the award ceremony for the German Bridge Construction Prize in Dresden.

Stops on the trip include the Gottleubatal Bridge (Pirna near Dresden), the Dresden City Forum, Dresden Central Station, the new construction of the A 44 motorway or the B 247 federal road (requested), the Young Engineers Colloquium and the award ceremony for the German Bridge Construction Prize in Dresden.

This year's organisers are the Chairs of Steel, Lightweight and Composite Construction (Prof. Knobloch), Transport Engineering - Planning and Management (Prof. Geistefeldt) and Wind Engineering and Fluid Mechanics (Prof. Höffer).

Registrations for one of the 40 places on the excursion are possible until 14.04.2023 in the Dean's Office IC 02-165 during office hours (Mon - Thurs 9:00 - 12:00 and 14:00 - 15:00). The excursion is primarily aimed at Master's students, with Bachelor's students moving up if places are available. All participants must bring their own safety shoes to the excursion; high-visibility waistcoats and helmets will be provided.
