BreakING: Jetzt für das Mentoring-Programm bewerben!

26.05.2025

BreakING Kaminabend Januar 2025 - 6

Interested female Master's students from the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering have until 30 June 2025 to apply for the “BreakING” mentoring program, which will enter its fourth round in September 2025.

In a still male-dominated professional field such as engineering, it is not easy for young female career starters to make contact with female managers and get an idea of possible career paths. The Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering offers its female Master's students a solution with the mentoring program "BreakING", which consists of the components mentoring, coaching and networking and is entering the application phase again just in time for Diversity Day at RUB.

The focus of the program is the exchange between the female Master's students, the mentees, and the mentors - women who have been asserting themselves in “typical” male industries for many years. An overview of previous mentors can be found on the BreakING website.

The mentoring is supplemented by professional coaching, which deals with topics such as visibility, self-reflection and networking, as well as fireside evenings with exciting female guests. This gives BreakING participants the opportunity to talk openly about their concerns in various constellations, to exchange ideas with other mentees (peer mentoring) and at the same time to receive targeted support from experts in order to advance their personal development.
