Autocad2026

At the request of students, the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering is offering a full-day AutoCAD workshop on January 28, 2026.

The course (basics + first applications) is run by Barteldrees and is aimed at all students in our faculty, regardless of their semester.

Date: Wednesday, January 28, 2026, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Location: CIP Pool IC 04/630
Places: 36 (allocation according to priority)
Cost: free of charge, no CP allocation
Registration: by January 9, 2026, via the link below

As there are only 36 places available, allocation will be based on subject relevance. Students who are close to completing their thesis or who are planning CAD-based projects in the near future will be given priority.

Workshop contents:

  • Overview of the user interface (ribbon, command line, tool palettes, properties palette)
  • Drawing commands and input differences (lines, circles, polylines/DynMode, absolute and relative coordinates)
  • Drawing aids: ORTHO, POLAR, object snap (OSNAP), track lines, grid/mesh
  • Text functions (single and multi-line, text styles)
  • Dimensions
  • Editing commands: Move, copy, mirror, rotate, scale, trim, stretch, extend, delete
  • Change properties: Color, line type, line and plot weight, object and text heights
  • Working with layers and blocks
  • Model and paper space, layouts, PDF output, creating print-ready plans

Participation is free of charge and requires no prior knowledge. The workshop offers a solid introduction to typical planning and design processes.
