01.04.2026

FWJ Emir Verkehrswegebau

The Voluntary Academic Year (FWJ) offers high school graduates an ideal opportunity to spend a year getting to know university life and the day-to-day work environment at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, to explore their options, and to solidify their choices regarding their future studies and career. The application deadline for the next session is April 30, 2026.

The FWJ program is aimed at high school graduates and prospective students who are not yet sure whether studying is the right choice for them. Participants can attend lectures and seminars across the entire range of disciplines offered at RUB and, if interested, take their first exams. In addition, FWJ participants work on exciting research projects at the participating departments as part of an internship.
