Prof. Annette Haffner Appointed for a Fourth Term

Prof Annette Hafner

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Annette Haffner, Head of the Chair of Resource-Efficient Construction, will continue her work on the Scientific Advisory Board for Forest Policy. The Advisory Board supports the federal government in shaping the framework conditions for sustainable forest management, including the use and application of wood as a raw material.

In her fourth term, from 2026 to 2028, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Annette Haffner will contribute her expertise to address the diverse challenges facing forests and provide impetus for sustainable development and management.

The Scientific Advisory Board for Forest Policy is composed of experts from various disciplines who represent the diverse societal demands placed on forests. The committee develops proposals for the further development of the forest policy framework and the instruments for implementing the Federal Government’s Forest Strategy 2020, as well as its extension through 2050. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Annette Hafner has been a member of the advisory board since 2016.
