From tips on the job application process—both with and against AI—to testimonials from company founders and engaging talks by engineers on starting a career, the CrossING event on September 23–24, 2026, offers ING students comprehensive preparation for launching their careers. Registration is now open.
Through CrossING, ING students are provided with an attractive annual platform that allows them to prepare for their own career paths while also connecting directly with companies.
The event focuses particularly on topics such as the integration of AI into business processes, work-life balance, meaningful careers and life planning, pursuing a Ph.D. and/or starting a career in industry, the energy transition and a zero-emission future, as well as environmental, safety, and energy technology.
This year’s participating companies include Bosch Rexroth, Deutsche Bahn AG, Emschergenossenschaft and Lippeverband, Institut für Unterirdische Infrastruktur gGmbH, RAMSYS GmbH, Redpath Deilmann GmbH, Sennheiser Entwicklungs GmbH, Stadtwerke Bochum Netz GmbH, TÜV NORD, Thyssenkrupp, Vaillant Group, PSvdl Engineering GmbH, and the Fraunhofer Institute Umsicht. The Worldfactory Start-Up Center will also provide information on entrepreneurship, and founders such as GEMESYS from our own ranks will be there as well.
Of course, personal tips on etiquette, a review of application portfolios, and the opportunity to have a professional headshot taken on-site will not be missing this year either. During speed dating, participants can directly ask their questions to future employers.
