BreakING enters its third round
Just in time for Diversity Day, the mentoring program “BreakING the Glass Ceiling – early establishment of professional networks for female engineers” is launching.
BreakING: Kick-Off 2024
The BreakING mentoring program for female master's students in the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering kicked off with a successful launch event on October 10, 2024.
Fireside evening with Christiane Kitscha and Frieda Lange
On January 23, 2025, mentees, mentors, and other guests gathered for a BreakING fireside evening in the bentonite laboratory of the Chair of Tunnel Construction, Pipeline Construction, and Construction Management.
Closing event on June 26, 2025
The mentees took the opportunity of the closing event, which was attended by mentees, mentors, and the BreakING team, to reflect on the program. They asked themselves how BreakING had influenced their self-perception and self-confidence, as well as their strategies for dealing with possible gender prejudices and challenges.
BreakING: Second round launched
The BreakING mentoring program for female master's students at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering launched its second round on October 12, 2023, with a successful kick-off event.

On January 25, 2024, mentees, mentors, and other guests gathered for the BreakING fireside evening in the bentonite laboratory of the Chair of Tunnel Construction, Pipeline Construction, and Construction Management.
Inspiration from practice: Dr. Stephanie Wohlgemuth gives a lecture
As part of the BreakING mentoring program, the second fireside evening of the year took place on Thursday, April 25, 2024. The speaker was Dr. Stephanie Wohlgemuth, Director of Commercial Operations at Elementis, Amsterdam.
Coaching with Heike Schubert
In this round, coach Heike Schubert from comsense will once again be introducing the BreakING participants to the topics of profile analysis and career planning.
BreakING: Closing event
On July 1, 2024, the second round of the BreakING mentoring program came to an end. This time, the mentees took the lead and organized a closing event complete with a homemade buffet and program.
