Elections for the Faculty Councils and the Senate of Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) will be held online this year from June 15 to 17, 2026.

The term of office for student representatives is one year (October 1, 2026 – September 30, 2027); the term of office for the other member groups is three years (October 1, 2026 – September 30, 2029).

The election portal will open on June 15, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. and close on June 17, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. The link will be sent to all eligible university members in a timely manner to their RUB email address. In addition, all eligible voters have the option to cast their vote during the election period from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on a laptop in the election office (UV 3/342).
