Diversity at the Faculty

The decentralised diversity officers are contact persons at the faculty in cases of discrimination. They advise employees and students or refer those affected to appropriate counselling centres.

In addition, they work towards ensuring that diversity is perceived and observed in a targeted manner in all areas of the faculty. Specifically, they advise and support first academics, students and employees with an international family history, people of colour, queer people, etc., if they so wish. The decentralised diversity officers inform the faculty about diversity, point out grievances and work to ensure that the diversity of university life is perceived and appreciated as an enrichment. To this end, they are also involved in committee work, where they focus on and address diversity-relevant aspects. Diversity-sensitive communication is essential for this.

The decentralised diversity officers of all faculties work closely with the central anti-discrimination officer Michalina Trompeta and are closely connected with each other. They also work together with the Equal Opportunities Officers when it comes to sexualised discrimination.
